Red Dalmatian Stones are also dyed and readily available in bead form, cabochons, and tumbled stones. Dying these stones allows bead and tumbled stone manufacturers to start with common, inexpensive, and easily workable materials and transform them into lustrous, bright-colored gemstones with higher sales appeal. However, there are no keyboard shortcuts to turn Snapping on or off, enable or disable a clip on the timeline, add markers, or export a video. Apple has implemented some basic keyboard shortcuts in the iPad version, like pressing the spacebar to play/pause and shortcuts to trim or add a clip to the timeline. Navigating through the timeline with the mouse is not as good as on the Mac, but there’s something that has been bothering me – the lack of keyboard shortcuts. But iPads also work with a keyboard and mouse, and using Final Cut on the iPad with the Magic Keyboard has been terrible. You can only drag files to the media selector, and only then can you add these clips to your video.Īpple has put a lot of effort into making the Final Cut interface touch-friendly. Having the option to edit videos from external storage would be great for those with the base model.Īnd unlike the Mac version, which lets you simply drag and drop media files from a folder to the timeline, the iPad version has a really poor implementation of drag-and-drop – a feature that was added to the iPad with iOS 11. Sure, there are iPads with 2TB of storage, but the base Pro model still only has 128GB. On the iPad, you’re forced to copy the video files to the internal storage and import them into Final Cut. ![]() This is extremely important when working with high-resolution videos that can quickly fill up your computer’s internal storage. With Final Cut on the Mac, professionals can edit videos stored on an external SSD without copying them to the computer. And some of these limitations are due to how iPadOS works. However, the limitations go beyond what I was expecting. I wasn’t expecting the iPad version to have all the features available on the Mac in version 1.0. I tried using Final Cut for the iPad, but… But, well, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Final Cut Pro. However, I believed an Apple app would take advantage of the system at a level that others simply can’t (partly because Apple restricts what third-party apps can do on iOS). When it comes to video editors, iPad has a lot of good third-party options, such as LumaFusion. I recently started vlogging as a personal hobby, and I edit my videos with Final Cut Pro on the Mac. Having it on the iPad could be a game changer. After all, Final Cut is professional software used by creators and even Hollywood producers. When Apple announced Final Cut Pro for iPad, many users were excited about the possibilities that could come from having such an app on a tablet. While this is a step in the right direction, these apps highlight the limitations of iPadOS. This week, Apple finally released Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for the iPad – two highly anticipated apps for professionals. ![]() Even now that iPads run on the same powerful chips as Macs, the software is still an issue. IPad has been around for 13 years, but it wasn’t until 2015 that Apple began to push it as a computer replacement with the launch of the first iPad Pro. ![]() Pretend Matt Eberflus’ brain didn’t turn to hot soup against the Denver Broncos and the Bears won that ballgame. Schmitzħ35 Comments Week Six: Vikings at Bears Open Thread ![]() Tagged: Chicago Bears, Justin Fields, Luke Getsy, Matt Eberflus, Postgame Notes, Robert K. It wasn’t the Vikings offense’s best game (I’m still not sure why they were so averse to spreading out their WRs and passing relentlessly), but that’s not important - the defense did what they had to do on Sunday by shutting out Minnesota in the 2nd half and offering their offense 6 opportunities to take the ball and score.Jaylon Johnson broke up passes, Tyrique Stevenson stopped Jordan Addison on a key 3rd & long, Zacch Pickens added a TFL, and TJ Edwards powered past Alexander Mattison to get home on a blitz & tip a Kirk Cousins pass in the air & create a huge interception that Tremaine Edmunds was ready for. Everyone on Defense chipped in. The 2023 Bears defense has received plenty of grief on this site this year, but with the season in the balance they played as good a game as you could ask yesterday. We’ll cross some of those bridges when we get to them, but I can’t help feeling like an era ended on Sunday. What do Matt Eberflus’ season goals become?ĭoes a total reset of the organization become inevitable? If this team falls to 1-6, what keeps them competing? ![]() There are conversations to be had about Fields’ eyes against Brian Flores’ blitzes, how strange it was to see the Bears abandon the run while it was hot, Tyson Bagent’s overall performance & more, but now that Chicago’s starting Quarterback is likely to miss time with a dislocated thumb, the story of the season may change in a flash - next the Bears host a “Bad, But Not That Bad” Las Vegas Raiders team in a game that would’ve been winnable with Fields but has now become a battle of backup QBs. The 2023 Bears always make one mistake too many - that’s a direct indictment on their coaching, if you ask me. The Bears’ defense held the Vikings’ offense to 220 total yards and 12 offensive points, yet Chicago allowed its 4th defensive touchdown in 6 weeks and lost 19-13 all the same. It’s a damn shame they managed to lose too. That may be the death knell for any playoff hopes the organization still had. With players like Brian Burns fueling the pass rush and DBs like Jeremy Chinn on the back-end, a defense running Tite fronts, 3-safety looks, and other wild concepts caught offenses off-guard to start the season and led to Matt Rhule’s Panthers hitting the ground running early.Ģ59 Comments Someone’s Era Is Over In Chicago, But Whose? For those who don’t know, Snow made his mark on the NFL in Carolina by bringing some of college football’s cutting-edge anti-air-raid ideas into the NFL and had great success early in the 2021 season. The former Carolina Panthers DC (and former Baylor Bears DC) provides an innovative mindset to a Chicago team defense desperately needs a fresh batch of ideas. He will work with advanced scouting, Matt Eberflus said. The Bears have hired former defensive coordinator Phil Snow as their senior defensive analyst. If the 2023 Chicago Bears weren’t a 1-5 team with an injured starting QB, a lame-duck Head Coach, and no sense of direction in 2023, I’d be much more excited about the recent hiring of Senior Defensive Analyst Phil Snow. The mythology introduced is relatively satisfying, too. The slow, steady folk horror tale gives way into a full-blown horror assault, filled with impressive set pieces and unsettling imagery. The larger scale of this sequel means a much more intense third act. Subtle hints of paranormal creep in every once in a while, but most of the unsettling moments come from the family’s peculiarities and atypical customs. Next of Kin spends so much of its attention on the mysteries of Margot’s family and how she may or may not factor into their designs, and the truth about her mother, that it forgets its namesake. Here, the dates serve a specific plot purpose rather than a scare meter. In previous entries, time passage ramped up the supernatural elements and scared at a steady clip. That extends to the story’s progression and atmosphere, too. Outside of the found footage element and the tell-tale dates marking the timeline, nothing about Next of Kin looks or feels like a Paranormal Activity movie. The use of drones allows for a broader scope while relying on the snowy countryside setting to enrich the production value. The documentary approach means that the camerawork is stellar. Writer Christopher Landon ( Happy Death Day ) and director William Eubank ( Underwater ) modernize the familiar Blair Witch setup, resulting in the most polished and visually coherent franchise entry yet. Photo Credit: Courtesy Paramount Players. Tom Nowicki in Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin from Paramount Players. The trio soon realizes that the isolated farmland harbors some rather sinister secrets that put them in danger. Along with two pals ( Dan Lippert and Roland Buck III), she decides to make a documentary out of the experience, chronicling Margot’s discovery of her ancestral roots. Her search connects her with a cousin, who invites her to meet the family in a secluded Amish community. More specifically, she’s curious about her mother. Margot ( Emily Bader) wants to know about her biological family. If only it included tension and scares, too. No longer bound by tired mythology, Next of Kin presents a new supernatural mystery through its most polished effort yet. ![]() On that, Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin more than delivers. Yet finality isn’t a word that horror understands, and the popular found footage franchise is back with a brand-new entry that promises to explore new terrain. The demon version of Samuel gets in a police car and starts to drive off, listening to classic music on the radio (presumably the last era of music it knew of as Sarah), headed out into the wide world as the end credits roll. The long-running saga with the demon Toby finally reached a lackluster conclusion in its sixth entry, where we last left off with the Paranormal Activity franchise. We see through police dashboard cameras as law enforcement officers arrive at the scene of the town massacre, only for Ashmodeus to force them to shoot themselves in the head with but a thought. The final scene of Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin reveals that Margot's cousin Samuel (Henry Ayers-Brown) is possessed by Ashmodeus, after the demon seemingly died when demonic Sarah is killed. Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin Ending Explained ![]() ![]() Margot and Chris manage to escape the massacre (Dale gets brutally killed by the demon), but the final shots of the movie prove this is a fleeting victory for the protagonists, at best. Just as legends warned, when the ritual is broken and Ashmodeus emerges, the townspeople are thrown into violent madness, and slaughter one another. ![]() The possession meant each woman acting as the vessel is effectively erased by the demon's presence, as Margot discovers when she finally finds her mother, Sarah, in the hellish cavern deep below the town's church. A line of women (Margot's family) are ritualistically spellbound by the town's white witch to contain the essence of Ashmodeus in their bodies, as they are the only "chosen ones" strong enough to keep the demon in one form. Instead of the possessed girls being the victims of satanic cults, the creepy rural community Margot comes home to is actually a cursed last line of defense between the human world and a particularly malevolent evil demon called "Ashmodeus," that can take possession of anyone he wishes to.Īs depicted in the dark church the town keeps in the woods, this community was tasked with staying vigilant and making great sacrifices to keep Ashmodeus from annihilating humanity. However, unlike the story of Katie and her sister Kristi in the original series, Next of Kin flips the formula around for a modern take. The climactic act of Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin finally brings us back to the central premise of the series, which is dark cults using black magic rituals in order to mark young girls for possession by an evil demonic spirit. ![]() ![]() Small numbers over 15 or 30 years can add up, and since this is a trivial calculation for a computer lets go ahead and use the more complicated formula.Ī = Principal X (interest / period) X (1 + interest / period) ^ totalPeriods / ((1 + interest / period) ^ totalPeriods) To get a more accurate figure we will modify the above formula to compound on each period. The formula for this compounded annually is:Ī = Principal x (1 + interest) ^ years / ((1 + interest) ^ years) We will also include the combined amount that will be paid towards both principal and interest each month. We will store this amount into the variable A. Now that we have defined our input variables above it is time to calculate the periodic (in this case monthly) payment amount for the mortgage. In addition, you’ll receive an in-depth schedule that describes how much you’ll pay towards principal and interest each month and how much outstanding principal balance you’ll have each month during the life of the loan.Calculating Total Mortgage Loan Monthly Payment The calculator will tell you what your monthly payment will be and how much you’ll pay in interest over the life of the loan. You can also add extra monthly payments if you anticipate adding extra payments during the life of the loan. To use the calculator, input your mortgage amount, your mortgage term (in months or years), and your interest rate. ![]() Figure out how much equity you have in your home.See how much interest you have paid over the life of the mortgage, or during a particular year, though this may vary based on when the lender receives your payments.Determine how much extra you would need to pay every month to repay the full mortgage in, say, 22 years instead of 30 years.Determine how much principal you owe now, or will owe at a future date. This means you can use the mortgage amortization calculator to: How much time you will chop off the end of the mortgage by making one or more extra payments. How much principal you owe on the mortgage at a specified date. How much total principal and interest have been paid at a specified date. How much principal and interest are paid in any particular payment. How do you calculate amortization?Īn amortization schedule calculator shows: A portion of each payment is applied toward the principal balance and interest, and the mortgage loan amortization schedule details how much will go toward each component of your mortgage payment. The loan amortization schedule will show as the term of your loan progresses, a larger share of your payment goes toward paying down the principal until the loan is paid in full at the end of your term.Ī mortgage amortization schedule is a table that lists each regular payment on a mortgage over time. Initially, most of your payment goes toward the interest rather than the principal. The downside is that you’ll spend more on interest and will need more time to reduce the principal balance, so you will build equity in your home more slowly. With a longer amortization period, your monthly payment will be lower, since there’s more time to repay. Over the course of the loan, you’ll start to have a higher percentage of the payment going towards the principal and a lower percentage of the payment going towards interest. If you take out a fixed-rate mortgage, you’ll repay the loan in equal installments, but nonetheless, the amount that goes towards the principal and the amount that goes towards interest will differ each time you make a payment. Over the course of the loan term, the portion that you pay towards principal and interest will vary according to an amortization schedule. Each month, your mortgage payment goes towards paying off the amount you borrowed, plus interest, in addition to homeowners insurance and property taxes.
